Cousins Meet!

Metz Grand babes-Gabe 2 days old-!
Metz Grand Boys--Gabe almost two weeks old

First time all the Metz Grandbabies in one spot. Kenady was very impressed and wanted to hold Gabe aka Baby Gap. She kept calling him Baby Gap and giving him kisses...it was so cute and sweet. Maddie was glad Kenady came to visit and they had fun playing in the hospital room while the grandma's and aunt got to hold sweet little Gabe. This picture of the 4 of them gets me so excited for whats to come in the years to come!! Watch out Grandma and Grandpa!

Mr. Gabe Wiliam Metz is Born!

9.4 lbs and 21.5 inches long of loving!

As of 5:28 in the morning I am a new aunt to Mr. Gabe William Metz. He is just perfect and well worth the wait. Trista looks great already and I don't think my dad could be more excited to have another grandson. Gabe has evened out the boy-girl ratio for the Metz's and I can't wait to watch him and Klark togther. If it is anything like Kenady and Maddie we are in for a lot of fun and excitement in the years to come. Welcome to the world Gabe I love you so much already!

A Roller coaster week of emotions

Less than a month ago Grammies Birthday Party--there was lots of kisses and hugs that day for Grammy!
One of two picture I will treasure of Barb holding Kenady

The 2nd of Barb holding Klark--so glad my kids got to meet her!

This past Monday Grammie lost her battle to cancer. Fortunately, we were able to say our goodbyes to her and let her know how much we loved her. Sunday when we with her Nick said she opened her eyes when Klarky gave her a kiss. I have a feeling she was happy to see her grandbabies. Her eyes always lit up when her grandkids were around. I'm glad I got the chance to meet her and be a part of her life. I also hope that when Nick's and I parents get in a state where they can no longer take care of theirselves, I hope Nick and I can take as good as care of them as Glenda did for her mom. I admire Glenda for all the things she does for people in need. Thursday we will have the visitation and Friday will be the funeral where Nick and his cousins will be pallbearers and the great grand kids will give the gifts. As sad as I am to see Barb go I know she is in a better place.

On the other end of the spectrum I am waiting in the hospital for my sister-in-law to give birth to my new niece or nephew. I am so excited to be an aunt again and hold a sweet little baby. Hopefully soon I will be able to post some pictures of my beautiful little niece or nephew!

Hawks Win and Katie Gets Married!

Grandpa dancing with his girls

Pre-game Workout
Klark's 1st Hawk Game--Air Jordans and all
Grandma's favorite little Hawk Fan!

Since Katie is such a big Hawks Fan I don't mind including them into her wedding pictures. Klark and Kenady spent the morning with Grandma & Grandpa while Nick and I went to the Staff Motel to watch the first Hawk game of the season. This is the 2nd year in a row that we have had a wedding on opening weekend of the Hawkeyes. I don't think Nick is to bitter--there is always next year. Well the Hawk's won and then we got to go to a beautiful wedding for my cousin Katie. I can't believe she is married it seems like just yesterday we were wearing tassel around our necks doing Christmas Programs for the Gordan clan.

Bath Time Buddies

Having a moment--
Hello Ladies!

Kenady and Klark are really good buddies (so far). Kenady loves loves loves making him laugh and Klark thinks she is so funny! She loves taking baths with him because she can help wash his hair and read him books and get toys for him. It's hard to get them out when they take a bath together. This was one of those nights so I decided to grab the camera, but they didn't really care to look at the camera for me. However, when Kenady got out Klark decided to have a little swim time of his own. He is Mr. Daredevil when it comes to water!!

4 Generations!

So I have been a major slacker lately blogging about my kids. I decided I need to do it at least once a week so I can keep track somewhat of where all my pictures are from...so I am going to get better and try to include some of the ones I skiped until I get completly caught up. With that being said I can't believe summer is almost over and football season is just around the corner. We have had a very busy summer so far, I had a girls weekend to Chicago, training for a triathlon, Kenady and I have been to 5 parades, and lots of fun grill outs with family and friends. This weekend was no different but we made the long trip to Cedar Falls to stay at a hotel with Nick's family. We were all together including his and uncle Tim and Lori from Illinois to celebrate Grammies 77th birthday and Rex and Glenda's anniversary. All the kids had a great time in the pool, but I was surprised to find out that I actually live with two fish. Klark and Kenady have no fear in the water and would have stayed in all day and night if we would have let them. It was a fun weekend and even got in a few beers with Tanya, John, Nick, and Rexy.

Klark 8 Months Old and the Kitty Saga Continues

The kitties scratching her doen't even phase her
Kenady holding her baby

Kitty not sure about it's "owner"
Klark and his cute little curves

Smile big boy!

Klark and his mama

Klark is 8 Months old already---I can't believe it! He still loves all his little people towns including his sisters doll house for little people. He has mastered the army crawl and is starting to try out his knees more every once in awhile. He has also started to really become a mama's boy...I'm not complaining. He always crawls after me and wants me to hold him. I actually love it! He continues to think his sister is a comedian and laughs at everything she does. His favorite food is probably sweet potatoes, but we have yet to find something he won't eat yet. He does really good at BEST Kids, he gets a lot of attention every morning when we come in. His sister however is very protective and let's everyone know that Klark is hers!

The kitty saga also continues. If you look back you will see super cute little black kitties. Well the kitties are getting bigger and a lot harder to catch. Kenady is finally somewhat holding them properly instead of by the neck. She still thinks they are her kitties...which is fine as long as they continue to live at the neighbors!

My Little Swimmer

Kenady got to take a 6 week swim session this summer at Beaver Hills Country Club. They got to walk there from school and get lessons by the life guards that work there. I got to watch her a couple times and she is very brave. She learned how to blow bubbles and dive for ring toss. They even got her to go down the slide in the deep end. She loved it I'm not sure if it was part of her swimsuit obsession. This summer she has repeatedly had to wear a swim suit out in public or take one with her. She says My Suit My Suit...I'm not sure but I'm just glad she has more than one suit!
