Happy 11 Months Old to Klarky and Happy Turkey Day

Happy Turkey Day!

Once again we have a lot to be thankful for for Thanksgiving. Most importantly having two healtyhy, silly kids. Kenady is just her own little lady anymore and is so funny. Klarky has really gotten big this last month event taking a few steps on his own. He thinks his sister is so funny and likes being around the big kids. He has gotten to go in room 2 a few times this month and just loves being around the bigger kids. He loves to sit at the big kids table and play with the crayons and paper. He looks so old when he does it, it makes me sad. He continues to be a good eater and will pretty much beg if you are eating something and he isn't. It helps him keep his cute little curves I guess. This month his favorite toy is probably his lego table and lego alligator her got from his cousin Carter. It is just the right size for him to stand up and play. This month his favorite food is a piece of bread--its like a lobster dinner for him. This Thanksgiving we got to have dinner on Thursday at Rex & Glendas which included some yummy prime rib and turkey! Rex is going to watch the kids while we go to the hockey game and black friday shopping tonite. Tomorrow we will go to my mom and dads and Saturday we are going to go watch UNI in the playoffs hopefully advance to the next round.

Seasme Street Live!!!

This afternoon we took a trip to Dubuque to see Sesame Street Live's Elmos Helathy Heros. It exceeded my expectations and then some. It was so fun and the girls had so much fun and were so good. Kenady got to go with her best buds Estelle and Ava. They each got to pick out their favorite character and enjoyed a great show. We were in the third row so we could really see all the action and the characters got really close to us. It was a great day I just can't stop smiling about how fun it was to watch Kenady there!!

Klarkys 1st Steps!

I woke up the little man--or should I say big walker

Tonite we went over to Rex & Glenda's for a pre-thanksgiving dinner and Klarky did what we have been waiting the last week for him to do. He took his first steps without any help. He did it in the kitchen of his Grandma's house. He was so proud of his self and had a big old teeth smile on the whole time. It was too cute!! Glenda then told me that Liza took her first steps at her Grandma Kanes house and she died the next day. Luckly Klarkys Grandma and Grandpa are healthy and will get to see him walk a long time :) When we got home I went to go check in on him while he was sleeping and I think he might have heard me crying because I woke him up. It's been a big week at the Kane's with Kenady getting potty trained and talking so much more and Klarky walking its hard for me to take in how fast they are growing up. It's hard to beleive that less than a year ago Klark was born. He completes our family and I just can't wait for all the different "steps" he takes in his life.

Teddy Bear Tea Time

The girls checking out the waterfall
Kenady staring at Santa
All the girls holding their teddies up for SantI had so much fun with my girl!

Two of Kenadys best friends before the tea party

Kenady and I had a great time at Teddy Bear Tea Time today. It is an annual event where you make a small donation and you get to go have "tea" with 100 other little girls and their moms and Santa comes to visit. Each little girl got a teddy bear to take home, saw a little magic show, saw some dancers, and heard a story from Ms Claus and Santa. Kenady did really good and even won a door prize of four free tickets to the science mueseum in Des Moines. We got all dressed up and she wore cute little snowman outfit and red and white polka dot pants. In Kenady fashion she had to take her purse as well that had her cell phone and little racoon.

The amazing Kenady

This is a pretty normal day--kitty hat and rocking the shades--nothing to crazy about this
Gma Mary is a bad infuence and encourages her to dress crazy
I about crapped myself when she said she was wearing this to school because she wanted to "nicely scare her friends" there was no arguing with her and no negotiating it

So we put her coat and shoes on and went to school

This outfit she likes to wear on a casual trip to Wal-Mart or Target. It consists of shades (of course), barbie dress with wings, and a buffalo wild wings princess hat.

Kenady wanted to wear this to church on Sunday. Before the tights were on I said oh honey your knees will get cold you can't wear a dress. Hoping she would change---nope she went and got some tights and told me mom my knees not cold now. Klark is with me...he is a little worried about his sisters fashion sense.

I think Klark's expression says it all...

Kenady has become even more independent lately and with her new independence she has been selecting her own outfits to go out in. Enjoy...
