What's Memorial Day Weekend without some fishing and catching worms. We went to Wal-Mart to get Klark's first fishing pool. We told him he could pick one out and he picked out the exact same one his sister already had. A sponge bob fishing pole. They were so cute trying to catch fish (with no bait). Then we had some good camping food and then it was time to find some worms for mud pies for dessert. Usually I go crazy when they get dirty like that but they were having so much fun digging in the dirt with cousin Cass.

Nick probably didn't have the most exciting birthday weekend with me working on a Saturday for IB Weekend and then going to Sesasme Street Live the next day. I think he had fun though hanging with the kids. This was Klark's first experience with Sesame Street live and Kenadys 2nd. Kenady and her friends Ava and Estelle all went last year and had a great time. This year we brought the dad's and Klarky. All the kids had a great time and Klark loved loved loved seeing Elmo. Estelle and Kenady acted like little groupies dancing in the aisles. Kenady even got to give a high five to Baby Bear which she still talks about 2 weeks later. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we got to share it with the whole family and good friends!

17 Months...

Klark 17 months...always on the go

It's hard to believe my little man is almost a year and half old. This month he has changed so much...he is starting to talk a lot more and copy what you do. He continues to love girls and is still a mama's boy and I'm still okay with it :). I'm excited for next month to see his "stats". Everyone thinks he is older than he is. He continues to love doing whatever sissy is doing. He still carries his blanket every where and his Elmo. He loves going outside and every morning on our way to school he does bird in sign language when he hears them chirping.

We went to Greenbay to run half marathon this weekend. It was our first full weekend without both kids. They stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Kanes and seemed to have a great time without us. We had a good time considering the weather conditions were cold, rainy, and windy, but we finished and that was the goal. Actually considering Nick's lack of training and my cold we did pretty good. It was fun to do it with Nick and I can't wait to talk him into another one.

Mother's Day we went to church and then to the golf course for brunch with my mom. Then Nick took the kids to see his mom and I just relaxed and read a good book. So all in all it was a great day. Thank you to Kenady and Klark for making me a mom--I love you both to the moon and back. Thank you to my mom for showing me how to be a mom and showing me the most important thing I can give my kids is love.

What a beautiful day for a ride!

What a beautiful day. It was so fun to watch the kids play outside today. They really did enjoy themselves. The kids spent most of the day with just Nick while Mom and I had a Mother's Day together. I am such a lucky mom to have two of the sweetest-cutest kids I know!

Happy Royal Day!

The Royal Wedding has brought a lot of excitement at our house. Kenady fell asleep the night before the royal wedding with her tiara on and wand. Kenady woke up in the morning and it was right during the service. She said Kate looked so beautiful and wanted to dress as a princess to school as well. Kenady is all girl!

Sweet 16 Month Old Klarky

Klarky is already 16 months old and not sure where the time went? This month he is talking so much and you can start understanding him. Some of his favorite words are Elmo, Milk, More, and of course Mama. He has just started giving kisses to. They are so sweet and just melt your heart. He has also started an obsession with my mom. The last couple weeks when she sees her he goes crazy--he starts doing happy screams and dancing around crazy. It is so funny and I'm pretty sure it makes my mom feel like the most special person in the world. He still loves following his sister around and copying whatever she does. They are best buds and on the weekends Kenady will wake up and crawl in his bed with him and they giggle. It is the sweetest giggle a mom could here. I can't wait to see what next month brings!
