At the milking station
Kenady remembered the cow music from the first tour she went on and was concerned he wasn't there anymore...whoops
The new calf that was just born. She was learning to walk while we were watching her. Here she had just fallen down and Kenady was trying to pet her.
Shut the front door Kenady milked this big old cow. I'm not sure I would have even done it!
Today was such a nice family day. We went to church where Kenady and all the pre-schoolers got bibles. We went home had lunch then headed on the Farm Krawl. We started at the Emu farm in Cedar Falls. Kenady got a feather and talked to the Emus' while Klark slept. There was a photographer from the local paper there who was snapping pictures of Kenady and said it would be in the paper next week. We then headed to the Fitkin Farm which makes popcorn. We saw his big machine and the kids got free popcorn. Then we headed to Hilcrest farms which I think the kids liked the best. They got to see chickens, pot bellied pig, bunnies, cats, and a dog that Klark loved named Duncan. They also had neat plants and flowers and we got a tour from the daughter that use to live there and she was great. She let the kids do everything and was really nice and showed us a lot. Our last stop was Hansen's. The kids and I have been there, but it was still neat to see it again. Their was a baby calf born that day that we got to see it was just learning to walk. They had a contest to name it and it had to start with the letter "A". Kenady thought it should be named Annabelle Apple. I thought it was cute. She also surprised me and milked a cow. She is really getting daring in her old age. Klark saw a tractor right away and that was the first thing he was interested in. When we were done with the tour we went and had ice cream in the shop and then went home. I think everyone was a little tired, but poor Nick had to drive to Minneapolis for his week long training. After this week he will only have one more big trip to TaiPei in October then should get to be home more. I can't wait!!!!!!!
