How Kenady stays so lean!

Well this is my last week home and I had both kids doctors appointments this week. Monday Kenady had her two year appt and yesterday we had Klark's 2 month appt. Both were great. Kenady is our "model" as Dr. Sims said--tall and skinny. Kenady was 25lbs 35.5 inches tall and her big head was 19.25 inches. She was in the 25% for her weight and 90% for both her height and head. Klark on the other hand is our big boy. He was 13.1 lbs, 25 inches long, and 16.25 circumfrence for his head. He was in 75% for his weight and 95% for height and head. In other words Klarky is not starving. They are just both great kids and I feel so blessed that they are so healthy and happy kids--I def got the lucky stick with my kids.

Well I tear up a little when I write this blog because I can't believe my little girl is 2. Where has the time gone? She is one of the most loving little girls you will meet. She is crazy and def a diva. It just keeps getting better with her. She is such a little person now that cracks both Nick and I up. We had a great weekend as a family. We went to the UNI game and the kids got to run around in the suite while we enjoyed the game. Saturday morning we woke up and went to the morning movie. Kenady went with her boyfriend Logan. They were two cute--they were sharing popcorn and swapping kisses and hugs. My friend Shannon and I said we will be taking them to the movies together for the next 16 years. Kenady got lots of good gifts this year. From her dad she got a guitar so they could jam together. We also got her an art turtle so she wouldn't draw on the walls. She loved her new frog boots--to bad she still has to wear snow boots for awhile though. She also got a pretty new bed set to go with her new bed. We decided to get her a platform full bed so maybe she will not get out of her own bed. She sleeps horizontally and her toddler bed is just not cutting it for her!

I'm so proud of her I hope she grows strong and knows that her family is always here for her. She has an amazing family for support and I know she will do good things in life! I love you little Miss K forever, for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be!

Well we had a busy day today. We went to the nursing home and visited Gma Shirley. Kenady was a crowd pleaser saying hi to everyone and showing everyone her puppy purse. She even got a Valentine from one of the old men. She was very protective of her brother though. One of the nurses was talking loudly to her and asking about her brother and knelt down next to Klark and was saying how cute he was. Kenady put her finger up to her mouth and said shhhh since he was sleeping. The nurse got a kick out of it! This afternoon when Nick got home Kenady and I got all bundled up and went outside sledding. She loved it--we went up to the neighbors and back 3 times. She was not happy when I told her it was time to come in! Hopefully it will be nice this weekend and we can go out again!

So today Kenady went a half day to check out her new day care when I go back to work. I was really nervous for her, but she did great. She made me some beautiful pictures and did really good. She had a lot to tell me when I picked her up. I think she is really going to like it. It made me feel better when I picked her up that she was happy--she ran up to me and gave me a big hug and kiss which made it even better.

Friday we went to go get Valentine pictures and it was well a what can I say. A little overwhelming. I'm glad my sister-in-law was there to help me chase Kenady around. Kenady and her cousin acted like they owned the place--they were overly friendly to the other people there. They weren't there to take pictures they were there soley for entertainment purposes and not to get their picture taken. Poor Klarky only opened his eyes a couple times the whole time. He was embarssed. We did get a few cute ones though. This Valentine's day Kenady got to go sledding which she loved!! Nick and I just relaxed with Klarky after a busy weekend. I got some beautiful cards and a frame that says I love my Mom from my kids!! I live with the 3 cutest Valentines in town(Nick being the 3rd if you anyone was wondering)!

7 Weeks Old!

It's hard to believe my little guy is already 7 weeks old. This week we had two nights in a row where he slept all night. I of course didn't because I wanted to make sure he was still breathing, but waking him up in the morning was the best. He seemed so well rested and smiley for his mom. This week he is really starting to smile a lot and is quite content just staring at you which I love!! He's also really starting to chunk up. I'm not use to that since Kenady wore newborn clothes probably the first 5 months of her life.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today Kenady spent most of the day making Valentine's Day cards for her aunts, uncles, and grandparents. She got really into it-she would draw on them and then we put sponge bob valentines on top and then we used other pretty stickers to finish them off. We got them all done, but after dinner she thought she needed to add a few more finishing touches. Since she did such a great job when we were doing them I gave her a little more time by herself and played with Klarky. About 5 min later she had made herself into a giant Valentine!

Today is the first day where Klark is really busting out the smiles and they aren't just gassy ones. He smiles the most at his mom :)

It's hard to believe if I hadn't taken any extra time off that I would be going back to work on Monday. Not sure I would be ready or not. Klark has grown so much over the last 6 weeks--he is busting out of his newborn clothes already. This last week he has started to coo a little and just stares at me and kinda smiles. He knows who is sister is too--she always comes and gives him kisses or puts her blanket over his head. I hope Kenady is as still as fond of her brother when he starts getting mobile and can play with her toys. This week I also got out Kenadys hospital picture in which they both wore the same outfit. If it wasn't for the pink and blue backgrounds and the outfit is bigger on Kenady then Klark you wouldn't be able to tell who is who in their hospital pics. They really look so much alike!
