Kenady was showing off a little during the photo shoot. She got her bath toys and was squeezing the extra water that was left in them in her face. She is too funny!

23 Month old Beauty

This month has been quite the eventful one for Kenady I can't believe in one month she will be two! The biggest thing happening is that she became a big sister--in which she is getting very good at. She gives him kisses, pats his shoulders, brings his blanket and lays next to him when he is crying or getting his diaper changed. It really is sweet to watch her with Klark. This month her favorite toys are her tea sets she got for christmas and her doll house which she also got for christmas. She still loves to carry her dolls around and give them rides in her stroller. She has also become quite the copy cat. She loves copying Nick--not sure if that is a good thing or not. During bath time she has started putting her whole head in the tub and thinks it is so funny. At dinner she no longer really likes her high chair or booster chair she would rather stand in the chair and eat with the rest of us. This month her favorite snack probably is puff corn!! Everyday it is something new with her and I can't wait to see what she does next!!

Big Buddies

Today Klark was set to get his newborn pictures--Lisa our awesome photographer was coming to the house to take them, but Klark decided he wasn't really into it. I hope we got a couple good ones, but we will have to wait and see. He just wanted to be held and was not a poser like his sister was. Oh well--this afternoon though was the first day that Kenady wanted to hold Klark by herself without me trying to make her. She even got mad when I took him back. I think they are going to become great buds!

Wednesday Morning Dance Party

Today we had Madi come over because frankly I think Kenady is getting bored with just Mom and Klark. Madi was here when Kenady woke up and she had a big smile on her face as soon as she saw her. They played really good together all day but the best is when we turned on some music and they had a dance party on the steps!! 8/On a side note Yes Kenady has a Superman shirt on. The day before we left to go home from the hospital after Klark was born Nick went to Old Navy and bought Klark 16 different shirts yes 16. They were vintage tees that included batman, superman, and the beatles along with 13 other shirts. Anyways when he left to go to the store he told me he was going to get Klark some stuff since we didn't have any boy newborn stuff. The problem was the smallestwas 12 months and went all the up to 5T. Both Klarks grandma's felt bad after they heard the story and went out and bought Klark a bunch of newborn stuff. Anyways back to why Kenady has it on. Kenady and I were writing thank you's and putting away the clothes that Klark wouldn't be able to wear for awhile and she spotted the shirts Nick bought and had to put them on. She has worn a different one the last 4 days and when doing laundry she saw one I washed and had to change her shirt since it was not a superhero shirt. She hasn't figured out if she is a tomboy or a girly girl. For the time being I guess she will continue to wear her heals and superhero shirts at the same time

Tonite the Hawkeyes take on Georgia Tech and Nick had to make sure his kids knew they were Hawk fans!

Well it is hard to believe that a week ago we were at Christmas eve church and waiting to find out if we were going to have a boy or girl. I guess now we can say that both Nick and I secretly wanted a boy but we didn't really care as long as they were healthy. Well Nick and I got what we wanted a healthy beautiful little boy. Nick's mom and dad brought over Grammy to meet Klark. Barb is the only great grandparent that is still alive so she is extra special to him. I think they like each other :)
