Home Alone

Well today was the first day that Nick had to go back to work. He decided to split off his time off the next couple weeks. He had a big presentation today so he had to go in. I'm not going to lie that I was really nervous to be home with both of them by myself all day. Nick helps out so much I just hoped that I would be able to handle it. I'm proud to say that it couldn't have gone better. Kenady and I got some time to ourselves while Klark was sleeping and even took a long bath together. We all had lunch together and they both have on fresh clothes and clean diapers on. I would say today was a sucess!

Baby Assesment

Today we went to free baby assesment at Covenant. Klark had only lost 3 ounces since he left the hospital so that was really good. The nurse said everything looked great--I couldn't agree more. Kenady is really warming up to her brother. She is helpful at getting stuff for us and likes to make sure he has a blanket. We have tried to include into everything like his bath time and changing diapers and she seems to like to help out. Tonite Nick brought the bassinet downstairs and she wanted to get into it. She also spent part of the morning reading books out of his bathtub. I think everyday will get a little easier for her. Tomorrow will be the test when Nick has to go to work to do a presentation and it will be just me and the kids. So far Klark has been about as easy as you can expect for a newborn. He is really laid back like Kenady was. I think Nick and I got hit with the lucky tree--our family could not be any better. I have two of the cutest kids and the best husband ever that is so helpful and loving. Life is good and I can't wait for what 2010 brings to the Kane family!!

Santa Baby

Well the Kane family got the best gift of all on Christmas morning. Our son!! Klark William Kane. He was born at 9:40 8 lbs 11.8 ounces and 21.5 inches long. Christmas eve we had Christmas with the Kanes and then went to church with the Metz's. We decided to go home after church to try to get some sleep. I woke up at about 2 and did some laundry and put away some of the gifts Kenady had got. By about 5:30 in the morning I called upstairs to Nick and told him he should take a shower and we should probably go to the hospital. We got to the hospital at about 6:30 and three hours later our family was complete. I've never seen Nick more proud except for maybe when Kenady was born. Each day Kenady is becoming a little more fond of her baby brother. She has given him some kisses and likes to tickle his toes. She is still a little confused why this baby keeps hanging around. I'm really proud of her though she is adjusting pretty good. Here is the first of many pics of Mr. Klark Kane!! We couldn't be happier with our two babes!!

Santa Baby--22 Months Old

Well I've been holding out to see Santa to have both my babies with Santa, but one just doesn't want to come out and play. So we decided before Santa is gone that we better take Kenady to see him. It started off as very exciting--she liked the colored trees outside his workshop and all the decorations. However she wasn't as fond as Santa.
On Sunday Kenady will be 22 months old and how the time has flown. The last couple days I have been reading old blogs and looking at her scrapbook and just wondering where all the time has gone. I can honestly say though she just keeps getting more fun. This month we have figured out a way to get her hair done in the morning. We ask her if she wants to brush her teeth and she will go into the bathroom and brush her teeth while I brush her hair and wash her up for the day. Most of the time she just likes to get more water on her brush and suck the water out but she has been better about going back and forth. She has also loved the snow this month--she has no fear of it and loves her snowpants. She also had to paint her toes to match mine this month--but on the other hand she picked a CARS race car sleeping bag over the princess sleeping bag. I would say her other favorite this month is cooking. It all started when we had gma mary over to make cookies and it hasn't stopped since. Most the time she is content with us just putting some marshmallows in a bowl and stirring them up with her whisk. It will be interesting with the new baby coming this month I hope she doesn't feel left out and hope she knows that she will always be my girl! I'm sure she will be a great big sister since she is such a great daughter!

Friday it was finally warm enough out that Kenady could go play out in the snow. We got all bundled up and she ran around in the snow and played.

Buddies
Carter is in the front row in a fancy blue shirt!

Tonite we went to Carter's Christmas concert. He did a great job. He played instruments and did sign language and even sang when he was suppose to. Kenady was impressed!

Pretty Toes

My mom and I went and got pedicures this weekend and Nick and Kenady decided they wanted one to. Kenady took over Nicks feet by giving him his pedicure. She really got into it using all different kinds of lotions and brushes. Nick was a good sport with it letting her do her magic. Kenady saw my toes and she had to get hers painted as well. So now we have matching toes again!

Baby Mafia!

Well we were hoping for a baby by this weekend, but no such luck. We did have a fun weekend though staying close to home. Friday night Shane, Trista, & Maddie came over to visit and hang out with us for the night. We just relaxed while we watched the baby mafia in action. These two are so funny together!

K-mas Kookies with Kenady

Kenady was in charge of putting the antlers on and noses for the reindeers
Finished project she was very proud

Rolling out the dough!

One of Kenadys masterpieces.

Today Grandma Mary came over to start some Christmas baking. Kenady was asleep for the first part, but as soon as she woke up she wanted in on the action! What a fun day, but now I'm pooped and I'm ready to have a baby!

1st Snow Fall

You can't really tell but every few steps she would reach down and put snow in her cart
Open wide I told her--it was easeier to eat snowflakes
My cutie patootie

Today was the first day of snow for the season--it really makes it seem like Christmas is now around the corner. When Kenady and I got home we decided to check it out. Her and I would catch snowflakes in our mouth and then laugh! Then she decided to get her grocery cart out of the garage and catch collect snowflakes that way. She just loved the snow--she had quite the fit when I told her it was time to go inside!
