She's a crawler

Kenady has mastered the army crawl. Thankfully she did it before we left for Milwaukee. Today she was all over the place--it is so cute to watch her crawl.

We are back!

Nick and I couldn't get home fast enough today to see our little girl. We had a great time in Milwaukee, the game was great, the company was great, and it was a really good time. The only thing missing was our little K-Dog. We had a hard time dropping her off last Friday at day care, but she was sporting her new cubs shirt. I think she knew something was going on because Nick and I were somewhat smothering her. Here's a few pics from the drop off... the only thing missing is the few tears Nick and I had after she was gone. Look at that first picture she is saying no mommy don't go...two seconds later she is crazy silly.

My 7 Month old Baby

Well the last week has been very busy for the Kane household. Kenady is now 7 months old and she is crazier than ever. She really has her own little personality and since the last post a lot has happened. Her new favorite food is carrots, she just can't get enough of them. She also learned to play the piano at Gma Mary's she is quite the pianist. We went to go pick her up after the golf tournment Sunday and she would hit the piano keys and then look up at me and smile. This weekend we are heading to Milwaukee for the last Cubs regular season game against the Brewers. As excited as I am for a few days off of work and a little relaxing and a few drinks I'm going to miss Kenady so much. Two nights away from her I'm dreading. I know she will be in good hands, she will probably be a concert pianist by the time I pick her up.

First Tooth Popping Through

All weekend we have been thinking that Kenady had her first tooth. She was never really fussy but all weekend she was sucking on her thumb and anything that got close to her she would put in her mouth. Today she finally let me in her mouth and I could feel it and see it sticking out a little. I kept telling Kenady to give me big smiles, but you can't really tell its there by the pictures. She will be eating steak in no time. What a big girl!!

Fall Festival 08'

Sunday we went to the fall festival at Blessed Sacrament. We had fun, we got so see all of Kenady's cousins, pet a pony, and ate mashed potatoes for the first time. She is getting quite the personality she is really fun to be around.

I love my uncles!

90% BIG HEAD

Nick bought her a new beanie today at the hawk shop for the Iowa/Iowa State game this weekend. As you can see by the pictures Nick bought Baby Metz a new beanie instead because Kenady has a big ole head full of brains!! At Kenady's doctor appt last week she was in the 90% for her height and head. Poor Kenady is going to have a big head like her dad. She is till super cute though!!

Valuable Lesson

Tonite I learned a lesson about being a mom that I've heard over and over again. Don't turn your back...

I turned my back to turn off the oven alarm that was going off, grab a hot pad, and open the oven door as I can hear Kenady laughing. I thought she was just laughing at mommy because I'm so funny. I turned around and she was helping herself to her peas. All I could do was go grab the camera. What a silly baby...I love her so much!!

Adrienne & Lance Bernard Wedding

Yesterday we went to Nicks cousin Adrienne's wedding. Adrienne had the prettiest dress. I just loved it. Kenady was a hit--she seems to really ham it up around people. I thought Adrienne and Lance gave the neatest thing at their wedding...spruce trees as thank you's.

1st Hawk Game

Before we even knew what we were having Nick had made our unborn child a Hawkeye fan. So last Saturday Nick was excited to have Kenady watch her first Hawkeye game. The night before the game he even gave her the Iowa binky to use. She wore her cute little Hawkeye cheerleading outfit and watched her dad eat wings!! Maybe this weekend she will be more impressed when they aren't playing a team like Maine.
